A small remake of the famous "Ear cutting" scene from Quentin Tarantino's "Reservoir Dogs". Me and my cousin redid this scene for one of his film classes. We shot this in late Febuary in Michigan so it was freezing(only about 35 degrees) The garage we shot in had no heat, and we really dumped water on my cousin. This was difficult because it being so cold, once we got water on him we could only shoot for about 20 minutes before he started freezing.

Cast:
Mr. Blonde---Me------------Original-Michael Madsen
Mr. Orange---Matt---------- " -Tim Roth
Cop-------------Alex---------- " -Kirk Baltz

Partial camera credits:
Adam-----------Alex's brother
Matt-----------Matt

Some production notes:

-Filming lasted for three days(only because of sequence and working with the water)

-I was shot from about two feet with a paintball gun to creat the gunshots

-The pistol used in the end is a Maruzen Walther P99 Gas blowback airsoft gun

-In the shot when I return with the gas can you can see the camera tripod (one of the only mistakes in the movie)

-Another is when I am shot, I'm not wearing my tie anymore.

  • its ok

but please! dont record sound with ur camera and surely not the radio sound

  • @DeHerdtFutureMovies Really? You're gonna get that technical? This video was made six years ago, and we were in High School. They gave us the camera to use, however they didn't give us a nice boom mic to work with. Besides, the sound of the radio being recorded as natural audio in the garage was for the effect that you were actually hearing a radio being played in a garage. Dubbing that and leaving the rest of the audio raw would sound strange. So it's ok, we weren't trying THAT hard...

  • It was good but you should have worn a bigger shirt with the two black straps around it.

I think thats whats so funny about the original scene the way his shirt jigs like when he dances.

  • Well, sorry, but those black straps were his holster and I don't have a holster like that. I had do make do.

  • You could see the cop's right ear while you were dousing him in water.

I understand the technical limitations you were working with and everything, but still, the audience is supposed to believe there is no ear there. Shoulda worked the lighting so there was a shadow there, or something.

  • yes, you're right, I should have worked on the lighting a little more...if I had any time at all. We did not have the time to be figuring that stuff out.

  • This is really good.

  • Like ive said the acting of the cop wasnt very good, but i have changed my mind on the guy how plays mr blonde, especially in the ending he did a good job!

  • The guy who plays the tortured cop doesnt do a very good acting job. The acting in general was pretty bad. Apart from the acting in was cool!

  • the fat man has glases in the firts part an then disaper
