  • this means that playing in bar where cue ball is larger and heavyer is more difficult than games pros are playing, i was so sad that i can't draw the cue ball as much as some master of pool and now i see a big difference here. i would like to ask, but i think i allready have the answer, with larger cue ball, wich is better way to aviod scratch on side pocket like it's showed on NV B.25 and NV B.31? (my answer would be follow)

  • @bonjovic001

Not all bar boxes have heavier or larger cue balls; but if the CB were heavier, it would be much easier to follow the object ball. In NV B.25, the goal is to draw the CB up table, but following forward would easily avoid the scratch (even with a light CB). The shot in NV B.32 would be much easier with a heavy CB.

  • Agreed that some cue balls differ greatly from the object balls, Valley has gone to considerable trouble and effort to ensure the Valley Cougar Cue Ball is the same size and weight as the object balls in our tables, as demonstrated in our video response. We have had to respond to misinformation about "Those heavy Valley cue balls." We feel we have a product that provides the player with a predictable and consistent cue ball. Let's give credit where it's due. Thanks Dr. Dave for your efforts.

  • @ValleyDynamoTV

I have also tested ball weights on the valley tables where I play, and they were all fairly consistent, including the cue balls.

If the ball set is old, the differences in weight can be greater. The CB will typically be lighter because it takes much more abuse from the chalked tip, impact with other balls, and drag on the cloth.

Thank you for doing your best to make sure at least new balls have similar weights, including the cue ball.

  • Great work again Dave!!,is very important for me,because i'm bar table player,,you know,the CB,is more heavy,,,thanks !!!!!

  • @pablo9ball

The CB isn't heavier on all "bar boxes;" but if it is where you play, then the info in this video is pertinent.

    Good luck with your game,

    Dr. Dave
