'On My Way' is the sequel to where 'Back to London' left off. Again it's my own personal take on rap and this time I've gone for a Jack White, QOTSA kind of feel. I hope you guys enjoy it. My good friend Lewis Ireland performs backing vocals in the track's chorus. I know it won't be to everyones taste, but at least please provide constructive criticism to help me to improve.
Peace
Lyrics:
Verse 1
I had dreams but I lost those-(break)
On my knees at the cross roads,
Breathin' out the pot smoke,
What I need I do not know-(break)
And I've got no
Direction, letting go, forgetting gets to cost so,
f*cking much so f*ck the clutch, touch the pedal I'm revving hard,
The wound may have healed but for real I'Il be forever scared,
And I've sat at every bar and drank and drank 'til every part,
Of me was numb except my heart can't f*kin' seem to ever start,
--To loose the feeling--bruised and hardly healing,
Only knowing theres no opiate that can truly mask the feeling,
But they say it's not the smiles but the pain that makes you,
In that case, brace yourselves I'm about to take you,
Back to breaking mirrors thirteen cursed with bad acne,
My doctor packed me on roaccutane sat back and trapped me,
In a world of depression, shrink sessions unhappy-,
Ness plus my aggression pushed everyone back-the,
Reason for bleeding even If I didn't need 'em,
But the cost of the loss of um, bankrupt my feelings,
Now my art is catharsis, see it's easy to be revealing,
But it's the hardest thing to be parting with secrets that kept me breathing,
Bridge
Tonight its gettin' so damn- cold,
Im here Freezing on Cam-den Road,
Let it go they say it's just what fate- chose,
But at the end of the day what do they know what do they know,
'Cus I....
Chorus
I'm on way back,
My way back home,
And when I fell apart,
It let me grow,
It's not what I wanted,
But I guess it's what I need,
So I'm on my way back,
my way back to -----me.
I'm on way back,
My way back home,
And when I fell apart,
It let me grow,
It's not what I wanted,
But I guess it's what I need,
So I'm on my way back,
my way back to -----me.
Verse 2
I was only seventeen when the water was getting deep,
Drowning in the dreams I'd never reach until I sleep,
From my arms wide open to hearts I'd broken,
She had broken mine for the ninth time, I know in,
Nuneaton town you'd get beaten down,
But what I'm feelin' now is even deeper down,
Out into the blue but I'm nowt without you,
Without an ounce of hope I'll smoke an ounce or two,
It's what I'm bound to do since you left me in the deep end,
Held my breath wished for death. But my heart kept beatin',
An' now I'm kneelin' in the dirt, heavy headed feelin' dead inside,
Every pressure pushing down on me, so you see now why I'm getting high,
But It's now or never, and it's evident that never leads to nothin',
Rushing, pushing harder f*ck the part of me that wants to f*ckin',
Give in... It's hard but I'm gonna make it through,
Make it to, a place I ain't stuck loving and hating you,
'Cus baby losing you was the hardest thing I've ever been through,
But now your just a scar on a shredded heart I haven't seen you,
For months, months of alcohol blackouts, that's 'bout,
Half of it, it's hard to quit the only sh*t that blocks the crap out.
But ladies and gentlemen I'm back in my element,
It was a hell of a ride, but I won't die for the hell of it,
And I'll be yellin' that from every rooftop and sky scrape-
Hitch hikin' on highways. --- I'm on my way, home.
Bridge
I didn't think I'd trip but I fell face first,
From grace, straight down fast 'til I taste dirt,
I found, the path but didn't know the way 'cus,
I was lost back then and still today but,
Look I...
Chorus
I'm on way back,
My way back home,
And when I fell apart,
It let me grow,
It's not what I wanted,
But I guess it's what I need,
So I'm on my way back,
my way back to -----me.
I'm on way back,
My way back home,
And when I fell apart,
It let me grow,
It's not what I wanted,
But I guess it's what I need,
So I'm on my way back,
my way back to -----me.

Fantastic track man! Hearing you merge these different genres together is incredible and your vocal delivery is brilliant. Dead in time, especially in the choruses. So tight! Thumbs up dude.
