A dramatic change in the 30 year old relationship between US Treasury bond yields and gold starting in 2001. Eric Janszen's theory is that the gold price is acting the way the forward currency markets do when a debtor country is approaching a balance of payments, sovereign debt, and currency crisis. The 20% correction in bond yields since Oct 2010 may signal the early stages of a US currency and debt crisis in 2011.

  • Well done iTulip, but surely it would come over better still with a true human voice. You should have the courage of your convictions and speak to your supporters.

  • @ChrisColes100 We had an extensive, four later animated video in production that uses multiple voices (3) but gave up on the project for now because the animation application keeps crashing during the render process. This simplified version resulted.

  • It's a no brainer: Manipulation of inflation statistics due to substitution, geometric weighting & hedonics. 10 year US treasury bond yield is around 1.7% as of 10 Oct 11. Global production of gold peaked in 2000. The global population is still growing at around 1.2% p.a. The middle class in India & China are growing. I would buy gold over US treasuries any day of the week & twice on a sunday!!!

  • hello, please narrate it yourself if you can. those robotic voices are often worse than just reading text.

  • Wow! awesome insight! Genius! I agree though, I'd rather hear YOU.

  • Incredible! The Wall Street Journal or Forbes won't give me this kind of analysis.

  • itulip, some of the best information presented with some of the worst communication skills. This is actually more lucid than most presentations.
