(I was trying to stay awake while driving home at 2 in the morning. So not drunk, just real tired.)

What I knew before I joined the U.S. Army.

General's statement: "I have been nothing but a shill for the United Fruit Company."

"Panzer Battles" by COL. Mellenthin. (A Panzer platoon, at the end of the war, was able to defend against Allied companies, 1 to 4 odds against the Germans.)

"Flight of the Intruder" starring William Dafoe. "Wild Weasel" missions over North Vietnam to locate surface-to-air missile (SAM) sites.

"No Fly Zones" over northern and southern Iraq prior to 2003.

Kuwait in the late 1990's and my friend's story of female service members "selling themselves" to male service members.

any ways great videos. your insight of the military is very helpful even though i saw them after i joined.

yeah i recently enlisted and I leave in may. They offered me 36 jobs most of them tech, they didn't offer me infantry so I picked artillery. many things are on my mind mostly fear. Right now I'm wondering what i got myself into and weather or not that will destroy my relationships with friends and family, particularly my girlfriend even though she is fine with my decision and I trust her. Hope the incidents of prostitution is isolated, its very saddening to hear such a low state of morality.
