as a child -35 years ago- I once sat on Mrs Chungs lap after a concert,
crying and all upset about the beauty of her performing Brahms in Holland
she wore the same kind of blue as she wears here
Her performance of Bach comes the closest to the truth I know and I believe this performing is a big compliment to the composer
This is a beautiful and my favourite video.

I love the key of C# minor in Bach's writing. A key of torture, melancholy, emotional expressiveness, beauty. Bach was a genius and a saint.

I believe this wonderful concerto is the precursor to the classical violin concerto form, and you can trace a straight line from this masterpiece to the great romantic concertos that followed.

Cette interprète est prodigieuse. Je ne suis pas musicien mais je trouve qu'elle adopte le rythme et le jeu parfaits pour rendre toute l'expressivité de cet adagio. La rencontre d'un compositeur et d'une interprète par-delà les siècles. De quoi me réconcilier avec le genre humain !

I could post the 3rd movement, but I'm afraid it would be poor quality compared to the 2nd movement.
I recorded the TV programme in the early 1980's on VHS tape. Most of the recordings were made in standard mode, however, the movement you are now requesting, was made in half speed mode ( poor quality ). There is a bad 'wobble' in the sound as the video recorder switches from normal mode ( SP standard play ) to half speed mode ( LP long play ).
Do you still wish for it to be posted ?
