I'm Here - A Justin Bieber Love Story - Chp 13

*Jenna's POV*

I was happy, with Justin being there and all. I gazed at stars, thinking about what he said. "That's what friends are for, right?" I smiled. Truth be told, I never really had a friend. Mostly, the main reason was because Belleza and Finura ruled the school. And when you're the queen, it's easy to get what you want. All they had to do was tell anyone who cares not to be my friend, throw in a bribe or two, and Hey Presto!, I was labelled a loner for life. Except I never really minded...

There were, of course, a bunch of people who don't care what Belle & Fin say. I mostly hung around them. I mean, who could go around not talking to anyone for their entire high school life? Though I do talk, I don't talk much... So that's probably the reason why the only 'friend' I knew was Kenedy. She was really quiet and as much as a loner as I was. Though we weren't exactly BFFs either. She'd be my lab partner if I ever needed one, and she would let me copy the assignments if I ever needed to, but that's mostly it. But I'm grateful for her too, cause if I was really desperate and needed a shoulder to cry on, she'd be there. But that rarely happens, so 'friends' weren't what I'd really call us.

But Justin... Justin would be there, no matter if I needed him or not. I don't how I knew, I just did. The cold, night air was finally getting to me. Making it feel really icy instead of calming. I was still in Justin's arms, and though he was warm, and his jacket, and mine, were already wrapped tightly around me, I still felt cold. I shivered. I probably shouldn't have.

"Do you wanna go back now? It's getting late, and you're freezing," he said softly into my ear, coaxing me.

"No, not yet," I replied stubbornly, even though I knew what he said was true. I really was cold, and it had to already be long past midnight. But I would do whatever to get a few more minutes of freedom away from Mage. Because I knew the moment I pulled up into the driveway, reality would just come crashing down. I'd be Jenna Crownell again, public reject, not Jenna me, the fly-away girl, fooling around with Justin Bieber. I didn't want that girl to, you know, fly away.

After a few more minutes, I could literally feel the icy wind pierce through my skin, touching my veins. It was so cold! And then suddenly, the stars were just a little too bright for my liking.

"Now?" Justin asked worriedly, looking at my face.

Then finally, reluctantly, I said, "Yeah, now."

We immediately got up. He rubbed my shoulders repeatedly, trying to thaw them out. Luckily, it was working. After a few minutes, he got hold of my hand and we started to trudge towards the route that led us here. It was more treacherous than before, because of the dark, but luckily, there was enough moonlight to keep us from being stranded in the clearing. He held on to my hand tightly. I wasn't sure if it was because he was afraid that I might fall, or becuse he might fall.

It took a much longer time for us to get back to the car than it was to get to the clearing, but we finally made it. I wearily got into the car, the late night finally getting to me.

*Justin's POV*

She was asleep through the whole car ride. I tried not to let that get me down. But I so wanted her to be awake so we could talk... Oh well... But I don't think she would be happy when she wakes up, knowing that she spent her last hour of freedom asleep. All too soon, we were in town, and she was still not awake. I tried to wake her up but it was no use, she had to be dead tired if she was sleeping so soundly. I wondered how I was going to get her to wake up when we finally reached her house. Turned out I didn't need to.

"Damn!" She woke up frustrated. "Why was I asleep for the whole journey?"

"Um... Okay..." I said, stunned. How did she know that. She stayed in the car, like she didn't plan to get out. I raised an eyebrow. "Man..." she muttered, getting the car door. Before, she could get out, I grabbed her arm. She turned and look at me. I really wanted to pull her back in and start making out with her, and I knew she wanted that too, but I knew I couldn't. All I said was,"Hope the dragon inside don't bite your head off. But if she does, I'll be there to behead her." I smiled encouragingly. She smiled back, before getting out of the car, not looking back.

*Jenna's POV*

I wished he didn't say anything about the 'bite my head off' thing. I really didn't want to think about that. When I got into the house, the only light on was coming from upstairs, Mage's room. I tried to creep silently up the stairs, but she heard me anyway. A door creaked open. But instead of Mage, I got a very smug looking Belle.

"Mage wants to see you early the next morning. Boy are you in trouble..." She said, taunting me to punch her. I shouldered my way through her to get to my room. The last thing I needed was an irritating mosquito on my knees.
