I'm honestly not sure if this fish is dyed or not and I was told it wasn't, I've seen what the dyed pink ones look like and they don't look like this. I guess we will find out here in a few months of its color stays or not. I couldn't pass this fish up

NOTE: I love these fish however I do not support the dyeing and tattooing of these fish. If this fish turns out to be dyed it will be sort of an experiment to learn about the dyeing process and I will report the results. The pink fish may be dyed but it has a good home now and won't end up in a 5 gallon tank somewhere. If its color changes I will be posting updates to show how these fish recover from the process. Thank you for watching.

  • My mom got me a couple of dyed ones today..they are my first. I didn't want any dyed ones, but I guess they need a home too...

  • @xRikux

It's not really your moms fault. A lot of pet store owners are ignorant of the dying process. Don't worry, if you give them a few months their dyed colors will fade and they will be back to their natural colors.

  • Curious, what is the black/gray striped fish in your tank? How big do they get?

  • @TecWithMe

Convict Cichlid. I've never had one over 5 inches. Very tough fish, and they reproduce like crazy if you have a male and female. Very cheap at the pet store.

  • cool tank look at mine when you get a chance

  • @lilbluependragon Yeah, it just upsets me because I know how horrible the process is. They don't deserve it.

  • @missanimatedmaniac

Getting fat, lol. I'm hoping I can get them to live like 10 years. I'll be upgrading to a bigger tank when I get a good spot to put one.
