@luckybozo1 Oh... you have no idea the people i have "dealt with". But yes, you have a point. There are some reasons for a romantic partner to know about any illness (physical as well as psychological). However: it is not something you tell on the first date. Something THAT personal and stigmatizing, as having a mental disorder is, you will want to save that info for people you trust. And not people like the one on the video :-) You probably get the idea :-))

If he knew earlier that she was bipolar, then maybe he would have known what to expect and develop the right coping skills to deal with it in the most positive way. The unknown usually turns to fear and leads to dislike and hate. In this case, you can not blame him because he didn't know what to do with someone who's acting erratic or somewhat unusual. We often "run away" from something we don't understand especially if IT'S HURTING US.

@AllwaysTwoPoles Of course it is his right to know as a boyfriend! She could be hurting him physically and emotionally due to her bipolar condition. It is what he does with what he knows that is of importance! If I know my gf was bipolar it would explain why she behaved the way she behaved and so I could understand and not be upset when she drives me up the walls! Have you even dealt with a bipolar before?

Maybe she should have told him, maybe not. It is not his right to be told you know. If you have the disorder you know that it is something you tell people you trust. Tim is obviously not trust able. He is posting his new bipolar information on you tube. His x probably had a hunch about his poor character from the beginning and decided not to involve him.
