Ireland is set to unveil an emergency recession budget Tuesday as the government struggles to contain a surging public sector deficit. The first eurozone country to go into recession, Ireland's jobless toll has soared to 11 percent. The situation has been particularly hard on Polish immigrants who arrived during the boom time but dare not go home now.

  • i don't think irish people fully realise just how poor and impoverished eastern europe is, in fact i am surprised they are not at least 10 times as many east europeans over here

  • @MrShane11230 Did you fuck.

  • irish people educated here are leaving in large numbers, it is the east european who are staying and trying to turn things around. a lot of them are young and highly educated, the east europeans who left ireland were only interested in money, i admire the ones who have stayed and tried to make things work..

  • @PolishOutNow Better 4 U when 80% of all will be black or pakis? Stop complain and cry. Irishtimes-29/dec/2011- "Irish make up more than half of 76,400 emigrants"

Poles are no threat to Irish. Peace!

  • @MrShane11230 - The Poles are still milking us dry. The Irish Times noted back in June 2011 that up to 80% of all foreign claimants in the state of child benefit for non-resident children are Poles. A ridiculous EU rule which the Poles take full advantage of. So in Poland the standard rate of child benefit is €11. The Irish state then has to top that up to €140 per month for the 1st and 2nd child!

  • The problem is the banks and the Rothschild controlled Central bank until that problem is addressed (which of course it won't be) the rest is bullshit. What are the source of Ireland's probems? Boom and Bust economies, why does that happen? Unfortunately most people swallow the bullshit that these things happen for NO reason.

  • go fucking home they milked us dry

i went to Poland and all i see is no Irish workers may apply

  • Go home

  • The Poles will never fuck off. They love it in the UK/Ireland.. Generous benefits for free etc

  • @stevenguy36 Shag off is two words you clueless gob-shite.
