Part one of an interview with Father William A. Wallace, O.P., a Dominican priest of the Province of St. Joseph (Eastern Province) filmed in 1982 at the Dominican House of Studies. Video shot by Dr. Gavin Colvert, nephew of the interviewer, Fr. Antoninus Wall, O.P., a friar of the Province of the Most Holy Name of Jesus, the Western Dominican Province. Edited at the Dominican House of Studies, Washington, D.C.
Fr. Wallace served as a line officer in the United States Navy for five years during World War II, with a specialty in underwater ordinance and mine warfare. He received the Bronze Star and Legion of Merit medals for exceptionally meritorious service, and became a Dominican novice in 1946.
