Humvee Doors Trap Troops
WASHINGTON - Doors that jam shut during an attack are an unintended consequence of the Pentagon's effort to add armor to Humvees transporting U.S. troops in Iraq.
One quick fix to the problem is to weld hooks to the Humvee doors so another truck can rip them off with a cable and release the troops.
"Every Humvee outside (a fortified base) will have a hook," says Lt. Col. William Wiggins, an Army spokesman at the Pentagon.

ok got a question so lets say your getting attacked by enimes and they surrounded your humvee.. so your your forced to hold out inside there till back up coms so u got armored glass and bullet proof doors so you feel safe. right? what if they had a truck with a hook? and they just ripped your door of like there trying to rescue you? its a good and bad idea.. i still love that hummer tho haha

The fact is this kind of information and more detailed information has been available for some time online and yet it has not changed the tactics of terrorists or insurgents they still use the same tactics and the same weapons and same ied they always have when they ingage there target. @someIgrunt I dont know if you relise but there is this thing called google its been around for some time perhaps you havent heard of it. But to my point you can go on this thing called google and find highly detailed specs on this humvee including the limits of its armour and some of the websites are official as in its the makers of the humvee or the US militairy sites. So i hardly think that a 4 min vid with limited information will pose any threat.
