My Japanese Spitz playing with a huhu beetle. She doesn't seem sure what to do with it but she doesn't want the other dogs to get it.

  • @NikkiKhaos8D Oh my, how did that happen? Japanese Spitz are always white, are you sure he's not a German Spitz?

  • this looks more like my eskie than any other eskie! maybe I just might have a japanese spitz...

  • @SpaghettiGirl1982 Its because the American Eskimo is a German Spitz descendant just like the Japanese Spitz. ^^ Both breeds belong to the Spitz family that was brought over from Europe, North America and Australia :3 I can't believe you have such an adorable dog :D Congrats~!

  • @toxikevin my japanese spitz is called fuji (like the apple)

  • @whatsonthetv Mine are rough collies not shelties but they would have similar coats. Both the JS and collie shed a lot when they blow their coats but the rest of the year is easy care with the spitz, however the collies tend to get mats behind the ears a lot and sometimes on their belly. So they need more regular brushing. My JS never gets matted fur. So i would say the JS coat is easier for most of the year. The JS are very brave little dogs too whereas a sheltie is more timid.

  • @fantail321 1:28 that one the tricolor :)
