i have a cockatiel named chayanne hes my grandfathers best friend my granpa is disabled. when my grandpa gets up in the night to go to the restroom he walks to the kitchen and starts whistling all the songs he knows until someone wakes up and helps my grandpa.
grandpa fell once tried to call us but the phone fell and chayanne walked to the phone and started singing and singin and u can tell the diff if hes calling for help or just singing

@DanEddyCinema Or you buy a second bird thats braver. They are smart birds. The first bird will notice that your hands are not dangerous when the second one will become tame. It's watch and learn. Promise!

i work with him every day and he doesn't show any progress. He's scared of EVERYTHING!!

@DanEddyCinema maybe you need to take a step back and see if hes comfortable with his environment and you have to go even slower.. trying to feed him first from your hand or even from your fingers( hold a small piece of food)

my bird is about over a year old and he seems very nervous ... i try to train him like that but he wont progress :/ .i also try to take him next to me at least twice a day so he gets use to me but nothin yet ..he wont trust what alse can i do?..thanks

@belhotty try feeding him and letting him walk around on his own ... he needs to feel good about his surroundings (cockatiels are really paranoid birds ,...you need to help him get over his fears)

@godsXmadeXme do some simple clicker training.. this is kinda what my videos are about .. even thoe some are tricks , they still relate to trust and building a relationship
