The first 4 minutes is me talking about the differences between Mini DV and DSLR's.
The Test Footage starts at 4m 2s I believe.
The footage shown is on Exsposure Lock, a Preset White Balance, and is shot with the Nikkor 18-55mm VR Stock Lens.
I used only what comes in the box. No color correction, no ND (Neutral Density) Filters, etc.
I may post another in a week or so using the same footage, but with Color Correcting to show how great it CAN look.
Great footage. The only thing I'd say is watch for the super hot white light that washes out the video quite a bit. Watch your lighting. Otherwise looks great.

I'm learning quite a bit about this camera as I go. Lighting IS SUPER important on all levels. lol I didn't use enough light in a recent project, now I'm stuck with to much noise when I lighten the footage. Lesson has been learned.

Looks great man! I own a D5000 also and i watched a lot of other reviews where people bash the D5000 video quality. I think they over exaggerate. It may not have auto focus but its still very good for what it is once u know how to manipulate the settings.
Is the canon rebel Ti1 video quality better than the D5000?

@marque27
Thanks. I'm still getting use to using the video. About the Ti1, I haven't used it. Now I know the Canon 5d Markii and 7D do seem to have better video quality.
But to counter act that I just Color correct in CS5 and export in 1080p. I just watched this same footage after color correction and HD export on my 65 in HD TV and it looked fantastic.
I just think the bashers don't know how to use the camera. I'm still learning. I'll be shooting a Trailer on it soon. I'll post it when done.
