Pritam is not only a vocalist but a well appreciated composer. In this theme concert Pritam presents his own compositions. Set to taal Roopak, this composition is in the praise of Shankar. @skinnyduude Often, performances such as these require some improvisation with respect to time; he sang a large number of Bandishes, and probably did not have time to sing the vilambit khayal....This is, more or less, a chota khayal.

WOW!!! Kya baath hai. Beautiful rendition of Raag Yaman. He has a very sweet voice and at the same time very good breath control. Years of Riyaaz!!! That's what it takes.

pritam seems to be musical by heart,but in terms of raag its like thumri in Yaman raag,not khayal,should have the knoledge about the raag roop,only notes colours and alankars can't creat the raag roop,

The Alaap totally depends on the kind of audience one is singing in front of. there are occasions when a vocalist prefer doing short and fast alaaps so the audience dont go to sleep,

As I said earlier, though the performances are exceptional, it's very frustrating to watch only a part of the performance- 'kucchh tishnagi reh jaati hai'
