realize the asymmetry tt obviously favors the PAP. be it in the media, in the courts etc. it's certainly nt a democracy if u ask me. im nt supporting chee, but i respect his courage to stand for something he believes in. singaporeans in general just live their lives as it is, which is why the PAP remains in power till date because singaporeans being singaporeans are merely contented with their hedonistic lifestyles, seeing no need to value certain things such as freedom of speech.

As for Chee being a good speaker...no he does suck ass at speaking, but not because he truly does suck, but because he much carefully watch what he says just like all people in Singapore must.

Do you honestly believe Pres Obama actually gives a dam about what is being built in singapore? His primary concern is to make sure the Place is in line so that US can take advantage of Singapore's strategic location. Obama is a puppet anyways. I feel sad for Dr Chee as he seems a very sincere guy. Nobody would go through as much shit as he had and stick around because he didn't truly care about the citizens of singapore.

I don't think Pres Oama will bother about Chee because Obama has already been to Singapore for the APEC meeting and was impressed by Singapore's Marina Sands, Marina Bay, CBD, Suntec City, the city streets, cleanliness, shopping malls, our disciplined and well-educated people and the efficiency of even the cleaners and service people who keep Singapore spick and span.

At least Singapore is governed by smart people, and not dickheads like Chee Soon Juan who could have used his brains for better things. If an opposition party would one day take over PAP, it better be either the workers party or the SDA. Singapore would be total chaos of the SDP were to take over.
