Erreppi Buffalo - In-Field Fertiliser Spreader - Palm Oil Plantation

Fertiliser Spreader a special 300 kg spreaders has been developed to evenly spread the fertiliser to all the palms. (Manual spreading is often very good to the access roads but little is spread to the trees in the centre of the blocks too heavy to carry.). This has resulted in yield increases from more even application of fertiliser.

Usually a fertilising team consists of 2 fertiliser loaders + 1 Buffalo Driver
Typical fertiliser application rates 2 kg/palm
Average Amount of Fertiliser applied per day per team = 80 x 50kg bags
Area fertilised per day = 13.5 Hectare (4.5 Ha per worker)
Average Fuel consumption = 5.4 litres

Compared to Manual Fertiliser Spreading using same size team (3)
Total amount of fertiliser distributed by per worker = 15 bags / day
Area Covered per worker = 2.5 Ha / Day
