Gatling Gun 2009 Ending

This is the raw video of the finale of the 2009 Gatling Gun vintage Base Ball Shootout. Held July 26, 2009 at Mill Race Historical Village, Northville, MI. The four Vintage Base Ball who participated were; Eclipse Base Ball Club of Northville (orange), Wyandotte Stars (white), Welkin Vintage Base Ball Club of Port Huron (blue) and the Walker Wheels (gray.)

The rules of this competition, made for a unique afternoon. From the rules flyer;

Since its reorganization in 2003, the Eclipse Base Ball Club of Northville has
participated in several tournaments, often wishing they could host one of their
own. Because Ford Field is not large enough to accommodate two simultaneous
matches, such a tournament would require scheduling half of the matches at an
alternate field or abandoning Ford Field altogether to play the entire tournament at
a venue some distance from downtown Northville. Club members, instead, devised
a plan whereby four clubs compete in a single match, thus taking turns at
striking, fielding, and spectating. One benefit is that while spectating, two inactive
clubs have a chance for comradery while the game is in progress.
Each club shall face each of the other clubs in the field and at bat once per
three-inning segment. The best attempts have been made to schedule the game so
as to limit each clubs period of inactivity to one-quarter inning (three outs) at a
time, however in some cases this was not possible. With four clubs participating,
each full inning will require that twelve outs be made rather than the usual six.
Therefore the Shootout (which will consist of six-innings), will require
seventy-two outs rather than the usual fifty-four and will theoretically take the
playing time of one and one-third games.
