Venezuela's television network Globovision has even more cause than usual to worry about run-ins with the government. Its boss Guillermo Zuloaga, fiercely critical of Hugo Chavez, was arrested earlier this year for allegedly slandering the president. Now Caracas has issued an warrant for his arrest on other charges. Zuloaga has dropped out of sight, but left his staff at Globovision worrying about they claim is a targeted political persecution of their channel, and a fresh attack on the country's freedom of the press.Duration: 01:59

  • @elpanakicke The new techonology is the new machine to battle the super powers and the elites that have controled the media for far too long, now anybody could post their opinions and post blogs of reports, pictures and video in seconds, the truth is out, and the world is not that stupid as to believe everything Fox news and Globovision has to say about the President. Chavez continues to have the majority of Support in the country, the media potrays it differently in the US though.

  • @elpanakicke The wealth in the country is much more equally distributed, only the rich greedy bastards who complain, they would have the country be much how it was before, where the poor would beg them for work, and live in dispair.

  • @elpanakicke Yes I agree with the man, nearly on all his ideas, and proposals. Coruptions cases, since his arrival to power Venezuela has seen crack downs on corruption from the top of the government to local neighborhoods. The rotten food has been adressed by the government that is old news, he is doing and overall great job.

  • @kadafi5150

Are you agree with all the statements of Chavez?

What do you think about the corruptions cases in the last 11 years? The $850.000 sent them to Argentina, the tons of rotten food??

Try to think hermano y paisano!!!

  • Hugo Chavez is a saviour of the Latin American People. These poor bastards have been second class citizens in their own Country for centuries.President Chavez

has restored the balance.Chavez has tolerated these very insulting TV stations for

years now.I do not blame him for getting rid of their Millionairre Backed Lie machines.

  • Hugo Chavez is a terrorist.

  • i just love these ignorent comments

  • Hugo Chavez is the only hope for the Majority of Venezuelans, if Globovision is being shut down is because they are not following regulations set by the governemnt for all networks to follow. Promoting coups and misinforming the public about banks is and causing instability in the country by lyng and suggesting assasination attempts is not an excuse from the governemnt. Globovision a bunch of criminals, get out!

  • Hugo Chavez is our only hope for freedom in the world.

  • If only Globov.. did the "Legal" thing, they would have no problems...But they insist on provoking the gov't and "Involving itself to store-up civil unrest, an ilegal action in any part of the world. Globov..is so inlove with the US...why don't they wait untl the next "Deocratic elections" and support the opposition in a legal manner as they do in U.S. ?....is Fox news being threatened ?..NO...they can only "talk" as soon as they call to an civil unrest...I'm sure U.S. laws would shut them too.
