Here is a tour of a beeyard, home and honey house of a commercial beekeper in Florida. See the equipment needed to harvest thousands of gallons of honey and wax a season.

  • Maybe it's the low light levels but that honey extraction facility looks a public health hazard

  • Sorry to say MOST EXTRACTOR ROOMS in small bee farms resemble THIS film then what you'll see with Sue-Bee and Others. This is a good reason we pasturise honey at a low hot temp to kill off anything that could be picked up.

I also think we caught then after already extracting that day - these guys live and eat bees. I was happy to get to film this footage, and I saw a few things I haven't seen before too.

  • how much per pound do you get for honey and wax?

  • I won't buy their honey! Where are the inspectors? You would be closed down here!

  • wow i want that many hives nice fun at ur job cant wait to get mine?

  • Good video. My dad runs a semi load between Wisconsin and Florida, so it was all pretty familiar to me :) Those extractors in the video are pretty old, but they're the good ones!

  • bees are cool. i had a fever 1 day then i joined my uncle harvest honey, after 3 stings my fever got well..

  • Wow! That's a cool video. More narration would be great - but it is what it is :) Great work and thanks for sharing

  • A good video that shows the basics of a major beekeeping operation...I love the uncapper with the two fifty-frame extractors. They must have over a thousand hives.

  • this would be good with a little narration and less heavy breathing by video operator ;)
