This presentation was part of the Issues in Sustainable Agriculture Education Seminar Series at Cornell University, cosponsored by: New World Agriculture and Ecology Group at Cornell, Department of Crop and Soil Sciences, Department of Horticulture, Cornell Small Farms Program, Community Food and Agriculture Program, Community Food Systems Program, and the Community and Rural Development Institute.
Ethan Rainwater; senior in Natural Resources, Hub Coordinator. Dana Shapiro, senior in Natural Resources, Green Dragon: Sustainability Opportunity on campus. Ding Kong, sophomore in Natural Resources, Environmental Justice & Racism. Student Panel from the Sustainability Hub, Cornell University, NY.
These three undergraduate students are involved in three distinct projects at the Cornell Ithaca campus that seek to educate and empower students who want to engage in experiential learning. Ethan, Dana and Ding have each taken the initiative to create educational opportunities that promote topics currently not well represented in the Cornell curricula, and are working to institute those changes in order to inform and inspire others. Their efforts and accomplishments continue Ezra Cornell's vision of "...an institution where any person can find instruction in any study."
