http://www.mercedessource.com - The answer to Kent's noise and vibration question. Why was this engine vibrating and making so much noise? All diesel engines with rubber motor mounts from 1961 to 1985 190D 200D 220D 240D 300D 300CD 300TD and 300SD.

    ... and i can say these cars will run another 30 years like they did... :)

  • I was gonna guess a bad fuel injector, but you did mention the whole car was shaking and I didnt see a plume of smoke coming from the tail and the knocking wasnt in time with the engine. Cause that is what happen with my 240d

  • LOL, I had to replace mine!!!

  • I just did motor mounts on my baby.. she was spitting chunks of rubber and was vibrating so badly the hood was rippling... now everything is better
