    So true. Geist kind of sucks when slicing up loops. The "shift" feature is REALLY awkward, just turn off the grid and let us see where the notes lie.

    It already has that feature. The break chopped here is not quantized. It plays back with the exact groove of the original loop. You can quantize and apply different groove templates of course.

    Redundant to a point.

    Slice to Midi in Live 8 AND you can turn off the grid to make nice 'human like' variations.

    Geist needs to have a 'grid off' feature in a future update.
