I've been editing video footage since long before everyone used their PCs for the task, using two VHS editing decks and a lot of trial and error during the 80's and 90's. Some footage is at least 2nd generation, so please forgive the occasional, sometimes rampant, picture jitter.
The closest thing I've ever gotten to an "AMV," more than a decade before the term was coined. One of my editing projects when I was still a teen: mixing Lion's Transformers theme with whatever Movie, TV and commercial TF footage I had in 1988. Looking back, it probably could've used more speedy cuts.
