I don't know about the sustain, perhaps I feel more comfortable with my old "friend". Perhaps it's all in the "ear" and how I am playing it. I love them both. I have been doing more practicing, and it takes a little memory too, I know when one uses the same pattern several times and comes back to it, it sounds better, but I can't seem to remember a pattern so I do random.
