A distinguished author and professor of education at Stanford University, Linda Darling-Hammond was named one of the nation's ten most influential people affecting educational policy over the last decade. On July 25, in Des Moines, Ms. Darling-Hamond spoke at the Iowa Education Summit, where she focused on issues of school restructuring, teacher quality, and educational equity.
