@GVinsonBiz - not entirely true - if you listen to Holdsworth recordings from the late 70's you'll hear that Allan played licks like this. You'll also hear some on the tune 'Rocks' from the 1990 Truth in Shredding album. (Of course you are correct in noting that they aren't a regular aspect of Holdsworth's playing.)

so you're a michael hedges/ace frehley/ry cooder clone, hehehe - just kidding! you sound like the guy who played on chad wackerman's SCREAM album. nice work there.
is it a bad thing that not enough people appreciate this music or is it good that most people don't deserve good shredding? are they better off listening to britney spears or kenny g?

@bitcheznhos Are you as rude offline as on? Somehow I doubt it (and I hope not). This is a cool line, and all you're saying is you don't get it, but in a nasty, insulting, and idiotic way. If you don't like a video, pretend to be a normal person, and just click away until you find something you do like. Unless you're here because you just like trolling.

@Shi7Disc0 It's a little misleading to say "he does it all the time" when referring to a unique project he guested on, and which is far from his normal style of music. On his own projects he hasn't bent notes for at least that last couple decades, to my knowledge-if he has it's rare. Even when he did, I don't recall hearing any with such a wide, loosely controlled vibrato, except with whammy-which is a different beast. His usual vibrato is way more controlled and tight.

Yeah G, rockin as always. Love it. Gorgeous tone and sound.
That was amazing-you are a great player, and the lick sounds a lot like Allan except the ending with the bend and the extremely wide vibrato-that part sounded extremely unlike Allan.

@GVinsonBiz your probly right , I guess a little of his own playing slipped into that ...I think thats a good thing unless your covering a paticular song (shredknowledge)

Is that a Carvin H2 or fatboy?

@earlgrey626 hi its a signature holdsworth carvin

@shredknowledge Right, but you know he's got three or four models now. the H2, the H2 with a trem bridge, the HF2 fatboy (thicker body), and HF2S w/13 pin output and graphtech MIDI pickup inside. The one here looks like an H2 w/an external GK3 pickup, but it's hard to see the depth of the body. I'm considering getting the fatboy. The one here sounds pretty solid.

@earlgrey626 this one is the trem version with external gk , its also the one with the resonating body ( not solid) I know Derryl sold his other one and rates these the best .
