I believe Bush and the Republican Party have been trying to pull off a coup, right here in our own government; that is treason!

Congratulations, you have become a fascist country.

Senator Whitehouse has been there such a short time, yet he is already a Superstar in my book. My first glimpse of him in a Senate Judiciary hearing was so stunningly good that I sent him a fan letter. Imagine where we'd be if we had 99 more just like him!

Sen. Feinstein and Lieberman have in common their Iraq War voting history with Sen. Clinton - check out ~Bush's Protect America Act comedy~ on youtube~ Ifinyagot time

This is why McCain is in the lead. If gets elected they'll have him advocating this act too no doubt. And you wonder why barely anyone hears of Ron Paul other than slander. Something is up with this administration and it's not good.

Impeach Bush/Cheney and all their Republican henchmen for war crimes committed against the American people and against humanity! Our gentle sister Canada has OUR country on a "Torture List;" "We the People" of America, do not condone torture! This administration has destroyed America's reputation in the eyes of the world; if we lose our allies we will be sitting ducks! Demand impeachment hearings NOW!

Bush seized powes we did NOT give to him, and then he abuses those unmandated powers to enslave us. Congress is complicit if it fails to act, and the people are complicit if they fail to make Congress accountable. Impeach Bush and Cheney now!

We need to get bush out!
so... how did this pass the reps/sen???

It passed because Capitol Hill reeks of corruption and cowardice. They all know it's completely unconstitutional, but they're more concerned with some future opponent being able to say they voted against the "Protect America Act" than they are with honoring their oath to defend the Constitution (which of course actually WOULD protect America). It's a sad testament to this country's short attention span and obsession with hollow political posturing. America needs to wake up before it's too late.

I'd like to thank Jerry too, whoever he is.
John here.
I've often wondered, though, about what it would be like to have a different name.
"Jerry Perry" sounds a little too cheesy, I think.... :-)
