Wow, some parts had no melodic value, but who cares! It was great, very outstanding techniquewise, and the bass is great too.

i have seen a lot of Mark King or LEVEL 42 and Wojtek Pilichowski solos on yt (some live). i think they are both as equal. mk is just more celebrated musician than WP. i think thats the fine distinction. they are great and class with the best bassplayers of the world!

whats up with all havin a pop at this fella ? compare to mark king- a beg to differ ... "slap machine" he played on nothing like level seems if you play slap style are we ALL mark king then ?
he plays no level basslines nor do i = im sure like me he is a BIG fan but gone hes own way
question .. where do you put some who play 42 basslines note for note ...you have to be good to do that so how do you view those ?

After 45 seconds, there's no melody or even a chance of distinguishing the notes. It's all noise..

the goal of this particular solo was simply to impress the audience with sick technique. and believe me, that man really kicks ass when seen live.

I assure you that victor would impress you more, especially with the flecktones, which in my opinion is where he really shines. This guy sure is fast though. Id like to see how he does with a band for a whole show
