  • he is a beauty

  • @kk4u7777 Hi. Thank you for your lovely comment. He has been our once in a lifetime horse. His son is just like him so luckily for us he will walk in his daddys footsteps.

  • ...how often do you ever see them crop out

I do not know what you mean by crop out. Are you saying culling?

We are a small breeding farm.

  • Thank you. We have saddleseat Morgans. If you are talking about singlefooted, it would be difficult for them to do that dicipline but it would be difficult for Storm to singlefoot. A good Morgan is a good morgan. Love them all.

  • Tell me about those frontleg-shoes :o how often do you use them and why? Do they cause anytype of harm to his legs?

  • @hannahappiest That is a good question. I would never do anything to harm our horse. 4 months out of the year Storm is barefoot. He has an light weight arab shoe and moves nicely naturally. Storm always comes first, showing is second. He is 20 years old so I think you can see he is AOK.

  • @denlore1 god bless u he is very beautiful and its so wonderful to hear he has a great home=) we own a morgan mare we rescued from the meat truck yrs ago..she is the greatest horse ever...i love the morgan breed=)

  • Setting up any performance horse with shoes is much like setting up the suspension of a race care. The goal is getting the best performance without stressing horse or race driver.

  • Every horse is different according to how they move and their conformation. The higher heel gives the horse more up motion where as in a hunt seat horse more toe will give more extension. This horse goes well with a three degree wedge, a leather pad and a light shoe that is wide and set so that it extends slightly from the edges of the hoof in order to provide a broad platform.
