Soooo.... I've been trying to set up my tail to perform at it's maximum potential. I did the fireup mod (well, through the existing blade hole), and put some K & B tail blades on there (not shown in video)....but my tail is crap!!!!!!!! I think it could be the play in the pitch slider...does anyone know if all the align v2 pitch sliders have this much play...or have a fix that I could do???!?!

Cheers,

Andrew

  • No CTFLY. andeck01, take the lever that connects to the tal case and to the tail servo, then put one small washer on at a time. (these should come with your kit, they are really small and cover all of the bearings) this helps a lot.

  • where do you mean exactly?? so that the lever/arm is moved down?? what is this supposed to do?? thanks

  • Just ckecked mine. I have a Trex 450 V2 that is brand new with 14 flights on it and I have about 1/16" of play. That is the slider travels about 1/16" back and forth. Yours seems to have double the play as mine. How many flights have you logged on yours? I'd love to know to keep track of my tail play...

    Jojo

  • hi jojo, I would say it has at least 50 flights on it. I ended up taking the thing apart, but squashed the bushing out of round, so had to get a new one. now I've done the fuel tube mod (helifreak), so hopefully it will fix all my problems.

  • tht worked perfectly. thanks!

  • hey where did you put the stock dampeners ? like above the ball? just above the plastic pulley?

  • I used two stock dampeners from the head, works great.

  • oh cool so i can just use normal 4mm tubing? like trex 600N kind not sure hehe sum one told me to use 1/8 or 3/16 thats 3mm and 3.7mm i think.. saw it on helifreak

  • just use reg nitro fuel tubing and put the screw through it, what it does is absorb and tighten the connection.

  • what kinda fuel tubing did you use like how many milimeters about 3 ? or 3.7 im not sure wat kind to use.

  • I did the fuel tube mod as well it worked great I can set my gyro avcs % to over 60% now it is rock solid...

  • Yes, so the arm comes down and is better centered with the ball link

  • His heli is off!!!!!!! Its the tail grips, not the gyro.
