I didn't see that as extreme as you say it. I think she did great for someone using the most personally painful experience of her life, on the spot to get a laugh at her expense. I think she was genuine in her laughter and chose to ignore him when she didn't want to continue as a live skit. Kudos to Hillary.

The moment he meets her says it all. She finds it funny at first, but as soon as he makes a smartarse comment about "problems in the past" she switches off and becomes cold as ice. She needs to learn to laugh at herself (and her husband) to win people's affections.
