sometimes i hear the music of my youth and it fails live up to my memories of that time...big country actually sounds better and more incredible now that they ever did-- my perception has only grown clearer with more life experience, both good and sad...this music transcends its own time, and stuart's lyrics written in his youth are both profound and sad, applicable to all ages

Had the good fortune of seeing Big Country live in the 90's with Stuart. I saw them again earlier this year with Mike singing lead vocals. I had a nasty feeling it would be some crap "tribute" band but I was blown away. It was really emotional seeing somebody singing in Stuart's place but I have to say that Mike is clearly the worlds biggest Stuart fan. He tells some really personal stories of how the band and Stuart have affected him, it's amazing. It's clear that Mike does this as a tribute.

Man this band was good. Can't get any better than these guys. Love BC, and this is the first musician I think I've really missed. Man I miss this guy's music.
