I woke up in my own bed, with the covers pulled over me, in my boxers. The curtain railing was up, but boxes still littered the floor and the window seat, it was as if we'd just moved in. I looked about the room and saw the corner that hid the door, I quickly got up and pulled some clothes from boxes and threw them on. There was a knock on the door, I turned quickly and looked as Joe's head appeared round.
'READY FOR SCHOOL BROTHER?!' he screeched at me. I looked at him confused. 'What? What's wrong? Don't I look okay?' he said starting to panic.
'Nono, you look fine Joe, don't worry. I'm coming,' I said and started to walk towards the door. I walked out into the hallway and looked around, everything was still as it was the day we'd moved in, boxes looked as if they didn't have homes just yet, and furniture was taking up most of the hallway itself. I moved through the cupboards that hid my room and trudged down the stairs and into the kitchen were mother was stood making breakfast.
Mother moved slowly around the room, as if she was still trying to figure out where everything was. She placed a bowl in front of me and gave me a box of cereal, I watched the flakes fall into the bowl, and sit there waiting to be drowned. I got up, this all felt too similar, my mother shouldn't be here, she should be on holiday was father.
Frankie came bounding into the room and sat in the chair next to mine, he looked up and smiled at me, he was fine? I left the kitchen whilst mother attended the Frankie and his needs, I walked out into the front yard and headed for the letter box out front, I pulled the newspaper from inside and read the date -- 'Saturday 7th August 2010' -- the day after we'd moved into the house, I turned around and looked up the only room that I could visibly see easily was my room. I dropped the paper and headed back up the stairs and into my room, I looked around the little corner, nothing. Just a wall.
'Are you okay Nick?' I turned to see Kevin's warm, yet worried face at my door.
'Yeah, I'm fine, I just had a nightmare I suppose.' I said walking towards him.
'Okay, it's time for me to take you to school, seeing as Joe was so kind as to volunteer me, you ready?'
'Yeah, I guess,' I mumbled following him out of my room, just before I closed my door, I felt a sharp scratch down the centre of my back. 'ARGH!' It sounded like I'd said.
'Are you okay?' Kevin said turning around and looking at me.
'Er, I think something just, scratched me?' I said, I turned around for Kevin to see.
'Whatever you just did, you may want to change your shirt and clean up your back, it looks nasty, what'd you do?'
'I'm not entirely sure,' I said turning around and looking back into my room, as Rosalina's face disappeared. I stood looking. I had no idea what had just happened, or why I was back at this time, am I supposed to make everyone move house again? What could be my reason for wanting to move? Would it really happen? I mean, if it was, surely the door would be there... but it's not.
I had no idea what was going to happen in this house, and in a sense I didn't want to know. My name is Nicholas Jerry Jonas and I guess, I must be somewhat of a physcopath.
