facts? you just stated a shit load of speculations. Wellington's brother in law was killed at New Orleans...the Royal Navy lost 3 frigates in 4 months...such a loss rate never happened in 14 yrs of previous naval warfare with France.

At Plattsburg, the British force outnumbered the Americans 5 to 1 and never crossed the lake in the intented invasion since a few USN sloops controlled it.

Thing is tho at this time Britains main army was fightin in Spain against napoleon and Lord Horatio Nelson was dead. If there was no napoleon.
