no idea why everyone is slating british industry, but the decline in capacity is sad, (speaking as a brit)
we have great designers but lack infrastructure here - research ocean power technology for an example; small company. great idea, had to go to USA to get big...
But the real design wizards and the japanese and koreans, surely?!
oh seeing as everyone has some stupid nationalistic point to prove, we're still the best country in the world by far! :P
3 Things 1. You're just another little shit engineering student who probably can't do anything outside a classroom. 2. You're talking to the lead design engineer of a growing company. And you're arguing with me about a field where I probably have 100x more skill & knowledge than you. 3. You can't refute my point that British engineering has been practically worthless for a century. You're a fucking embarrassment.
Your an adult and your swearing at a kid. Well done, and without britiain the industrial revolution would of not even been invented and america would be a piece of shit on an island and so would everything else.
I'm 22. But I've been working in engineering since I was 16. Besides, I'm French. France had a navy, could have, and did get here on their own. We didn't need Britain. Thanks for a friendly discussion.
Thank to all who adviced me over some troublesome words in this video. Now this little piece of chess history will be available in Spanish too thanks to you guys.
I was simply making the point that America invented most 20th century industrial technology. That's not being cocky. That's stating a fact.
How is PruneJuice reminding you that American technology helped save Britain in WWII behaving "in such an ill-mannered way"? I also pointed out that Britain launched the industrial revolution.
However, this statement is not true: "britain made most of the industrial things, which is a fact".
