And people say Smallville has homoerotic sexual tension between Clark and Lex... this takes the cake! "Superboy? Oh my... Superboy... Why leave now think of the fun we're all having." Hands down the gayest Lex ever...

Scott Wells was the worst acting, live-action Luthor ever. Poor Newton probably did the very best he could with such badly scripted dialogue. I'm surprised he stayed with the show as long as he did, as reciting that gay-porn, verbal diarrhea had to be humiliating. He really looked like young Superman, so I think his casting was spot-on.

Whats up with all these superman actors being small, you dont have to be on a strict bodybuilding diet and training to be "big" a cleaner diet with high protien and 45 min weight lifting session 5 times a week and these guys could get mabye 17 inch arms,in like 5 months or less

That wasn't Kryptonite, I have the show on DVD, and it was some sort of mystical gem Lex Luthor was stealing

Superman went into the the ocean after Superman II by coming out with the most ridiculous films in history. After Superman I and II it was all downhill after that.

& the scene was pretty much a rip - off the " Lead - box - holding - Kryptonite - meteor " in Superman.

John Haymes - Newton apparently played Superboy using the " Adam West as 60's Batman " acting method.

Pink kryptonite. No green aura, but PINK. Intentional ? Possibly.

This series was bad acting personified - Even if did watch it to stave off boredom back in the day. It was part of a program block on Multimedia before Multimedia was bought outright by Fox.
