we have a lot of salman rushdie in Iran, a lot, but in Pakistan they have just one salman rushdie, and thousands of Ben Laden...Poor Mr Rushdie, they used him as nazi who love to see books against jews, because Rushdie do not oppose a country, because he is born in a nonsense one, no he prefer to oppose islam, like that Bush and england will have all oil country in a hand of fear...

Laicity is for me same as Christianism, but islamic is synonym of faith as do jews. But in the world the two country created only for religion are Israel and Pakistan, and they are the first credit of occident against iran, wish is the real laic, as it should be, but in a metamorphose, due to the agressions of occident, afraid of this great wise country.

occidental people rulling the world are all faithfull to Jean Paul 2 and religion, and has been succefull by creating israel and installing since 1920 a mood of war of religions...

before occident discover oil, islamic countries were living in peace: today no oil countries has nuclear bombs, meaning that they can be agressed anytime and they cannot protect themselves from large media abusing their faith.

salman rushdie is perhaps a good well english educated, he has got a lot of diplomaty and ways, he represent a wise man, among others...but there is only one problem, why critisize a religion that occident is agressing, since the need of oil.

I am definitely in favour of celebrating the achievements of writers. Sir Salman deserves to win every accolade imaginable for his creative gifts, but also for his immense bravery.
Disobey the Ayatollahs, buy and read Satanic Verses. And let these losers know that spirit of Voltaire is still alive.
