When you are unable to supervise your puppy because you're physically or MENTALLY absent, it's best to confine them somewhere safe where no harm can come to them or to your belongings. This sets your puppy up for success since unsupervised access to any part of your home -- indoors or outdoors -- provides too many opportunities for you puppy to make bad choices and house training (potty training mistakes). An instructional video from Urban Dog Training.

  • Yeah my apologies for my voice Kirrapaddle, I'd been diagnosed with Oesophageal Cancer and given 3 months to live only 3 days prior to making this video. Thankfully I'm doing well so far but my voice is waaay more annoying after months of chemo, radiation and operations.

  • This was very helpful. Thanks

  • What a nice video.

  • That's a great idea! I've tried confining my pup to the kitchen but all she does is cry. She's 8 weeks and I got her 3 days ago. How long does the crying last? Any tips?

  • How long can a 10 week old Havanese stay home alone?

  • great video, where did you buy the pen?

  • shut the fuck up fat ass i just want to see the video.

  • Wow that was a freaking mean comment, I find nothing wrong with your voice in the video and it was not in the least annoying! I hope that person feels like crap after making that comment considering your situation! I hope you recover from this . I wish you the best in your treatment and recovery and I hope you go on to live a long happy life. Thanks for the video, I found it very insightful :)

  • The video is great, but the voice is annoying

  • This vid is great. I have set a pen up but the puppy will not use the grass for a toilet. Maybe the pen is too big? Also he cries to get out and doesn’t seem interested in the chew toys.
