Great tune Adam on a beautifully made banjo.With my attack I have never made a white lady sound anything but hit too hard.(I would have to own one of these for a while to understand the thing).I have had much better luck with the Tubaphone pot or the simple Fairbanks & Cole. At the moment I am playing one of Kevin's HC Dobson's but with Nylgut strings. Amazing at jams how it pots through. The point is listening to a particular banjo and celebrating it is the task. Inspiring playing here. Yours G

Beautiful banjo and a well played tune.
Back in the early `60s I found a 1922 Vega "Whyte Laydie tenor banjo in the Baltimore County Dump(!) It must have been thrown out no more than a day or two before as the strings weren`t even rusty. I had the Arthur E. Smith Co. in Massachusetts do a 5-string neck identical to yours; still have it forty six years later and it`s holding up just fine. My playing, however, has never done it justice, more`s the pity.

I had a chance to play one of the prototypes at Bernunzio's last year. Really,really nice banjo.
