Remy Eats Kidney (www.foododdities.com)

Remy has eaten brain, intestines, heart, lungs and liver, but he hasn't yet gotten his hands on thymus or kidney. Until now. It's kidney time!

Kidneys are consumed all over the world, including in the United States. But they're not what you'd call commonly eaten here.

And elsewhere they often hide the organ meat by combining it with other meat. As a general fan of offal, Remy expected he might appreciate a good kidney, but he
wasn't quite prepared for the odd smell and strange aftertaste.

But was it enough to put him off the organ meat for good?

@FoodOddities In British/Irish-style pubs, they manage to eliminate the smell of urine to make steak & kidney pie. I myself have only prepared kidneys 2 or 3 times. I did manage the third time to remove the smell entirely. It is pretty good and very inexpensive :)

It's not easy getting the smell of pee out, but i can be done.

@FoodOddities I got mine when I tried to ride on my brother's bike, which was too big for me, then I crashed and fell on the the floor and the side of my eye got caught in the spokes :P kinda gross

Apparently my drummers grandma will make this stuff and she like boils it or something and it makes his whole house smell like pee. Haha. I am glad that in all the years I've been going there I haven't had to experience it.
