*everyone's eating dinner*
Delany: *suddenly stopped eating* I have to go.
JJ: what? We're in yhe middle of dinner.
Delany: I know its just...I have to go. *gets up and leaves*
Anna: that was weird...
Stef: yeah...I wonder what it was all about.
JJ: I'm gonna follow her.
*outside*
Delany: *on the phone* hello?....yea ok...k, meet me in 10 minutes
k....love you.*gets in car and drives off*
JJ: *thinking she was talking to a guy* crap. *gets in his car and
follows*
*they come to a resturant called "The J Spot" (random resturant name)
Delany: *goes in and sits next to a woman that looks just like her
except older* hey mom. *hugged her*
Melissa: hi sweetie what's wrong you called and said you had to meet me
right away? *looked worried*
Delany: yeah, I'm fine but...a few weeks ago we were in New York
and...we went to a club and...*took a deep breath* we saw Alex.
Melissa: *color drained from her face* wha- what? He never said anything
about going to New York...
Delany: I know its just so confusing... the way he talked to me...it
brought so many bad memories back I just.... I don't think I can handle
this alone... I really needed to talk to someone...*tears started to
form and one rolled down her cheek*
(JJ's POV)
What? Why couldn't she just talk to me? And who's this ALEX character,
an ex maybe? What had he done that was so bad? Man WTF!!! Dude, this
isn't doing anything for my selfestime...
(Regular POV)
JJ: *sigh* I cant handle this right now.! *leaves*
Delany: *crying hard* And I worry so much about you... I mean, what if
he...after what he did to me... I'm just so scared Mom! And I cant tell
my friends, they'd look at me differently... give me pitiful looks...and
I cant handle it, you know that's why I wouldn't even go to consuling at
school... *started to cry harder*
Melissa: no no shhh... I understand. You're just stubborn. You get it
from me you know!*smiles*
Delany: *smiles through tears* I know. But...I just have to be sure. Is
everything ok? I mean at home and all.
Melissa: *Decides to tell her but not all of it.* actually, me and your
father are getting a divorce.
Delany: o my god FINALLY!!! Oh um...sorry.
Melissa: don't worry. Its about time. I just couldnt live with the guilt
anymore.
Delany: mom, you know what happened isn't your fault! And besides, I'm
past everything.
Melissa: then why are you crying?
Delany: memories I guess. Even you know that even when you're past
something it still hurts a little to think about.
Melissa: yeah. I know. But you should get going. I'm sure your friends
and JJ are worried.
Delany: ok. Bye love you mom.
Melissa: love you. *hugs her*
