Great movie..

It highlights how marriage=possession.

True love is unconditional. If you truly love someone you should set them free. I don't see how you can say you lvoe someone if you then try to impede them from being happy. Lane was being impulsive. She felt attracted to this other man and what's wrong with that? Why does love have to be exclusive?

Weird.. You can have as many friends as you like but you're not allowed more than one partner.. Strange world we live in.

everything that diane lane did in the movie,i'm sure erin barry did the same or worst.plus both men were "french"(the actor in the movie and tony parker)were about the same age 26,27.(damm) both women(diane and erin barry) were rich and had/have a kids.both were married to a hard working loving husband for years..the problem with these 2 women is that they were"UNFAITHFUL" i know that women cheat and cheat ALOT!!!..so this had movie "demonstrated" that not all men are dogs.

the movie "UNFAITHFUL" is true.

it reminds me of "ERIN BARRY" former wife of star basketball player for the SPURS-"BRENT BARRY".i could picture erin barry doing the same thing with TONY PARKER.(also a frenchman) DIANE LANE and RICHARD GERE had 2 children(boys)WOW..this movie had erin barry and tony parker "stamp on it".they did the exact same thing by being "UNFAITHFUL".the woman in the movie felt like a "SLUT" with no answers.i'm sure erin barry must fiil the same way in "REALITY".(SAD)

Maybe this shows that only 'swans' should mate for life...I mean, Diane Lane's character was 'happy' in her marriage and she chose to cheat because, well, she could...and she did have a HAPPY time...it was a 'break' from the monotony of the day to day grind even in 'happy' marriages/family...a great, psychological movie that makes one think about what it is that we seek in life and is it better to 'stay put' or TAKE THE CHANCE at something new/adventurous?!...
