It's a Direct Shift Gearbox, or an automobile dual clutch transmission - unlike a normal manual transmission where you have to manually operate a clutch pedal and gearshift, this design electronically shifts gears between two clutches, passing each gear change from one clutch to the other for a perfect shift every time; you still get to choose gears like a manual (or let the computer do it like an automatic), and manual-fast gear changes, but there's no clutch pedal.
