"And I can walk past a field of animals with a clear conscience." Such a simple, beautiful statement, but it's so true. When you give up the carcass and adopt a cruelty-free lifestyle, you feel so much closer to animals and your heart is lighter as well.

@CaseyRetro96 oh my lord, i have to leave the website about animal abuse because i couldnt stop crying a cried about a quart of water and that was enough. i cant chang the world but i can change me

@TheStrawberryFeilds There'd probably be less animals because humans force inseminate animals so to deliberately inflate their population to make more of a profit.
Also why use the cavemen ways to justify one's actions in the 21st century? the it's natural argument is often used, it would be a good argument in the stone age but nowadays we have access to so much more food and its so easy to go vegeterain and be healthy.
Why should an animals right not to suffer come before your tastebuds?

@menlove251 Ringo Starr is a veggie but he has a turkey every Christmas Pierce Brosnan is the same, I wouldn't call myself a vegetarian as I do eat meat on the odd occasions e.g going to barbeque's which is an occasion but at home I eat a lot of vegetarian food mainly as my dad is so we all eat the same thing, but I myself have a turkey at christmas. Ringo is veggie due only cos of stomach issues, John Lennon was on & off from 60's til death 1980 and Harrison was since 21

I really dont know how someone could be a vegetarian.You eat bland-ass food 24/7,and it makes your life suck.There is NOTHING wrong with killing animals for food.From day 1 of the world, animals have eaten other animals in order to survive. Meat is healthy for you,its natural to eat them,and it is a form of population control.If we didnt eat meat,there would be a ton of chickens,cows, ect. overpopulating the world. we would have to kill them to keep the population down. I would die without meat.

@jeffreykins Nicely said :)

Although there is nothing innately wrong with eating meat, surely you can't deny that the mass-farming meat industry is nothing short of evil, and certainly not natural. Tearing teeth and tails off with pliars, castration, throat slitting and scalding, all without the use of painkillers cannot be justified in any sense, even if the animals are soon to die. Treating animals that are capable of pain and terror in the way they do is heartless!

@HeMadeMeDoOiT I'm vegetarian but...with your reasoning you should not even wear shoes or clothing (child abuse), wear sweaters, drive (environmental pollution) and so on... the key word is "moderation".

@baseballgirl25 I once called a vegetarian organization for information on switching to a vegetarian diet. They were too weak to pick up the phone. No, seriously, I am very impressed by your story. This is something I have thought about doing for a long time, and I think I just might do it. There is no question about the cruelty to animals that the beef, poultry and dairy industries inflict on animals. I have had friends who worked for PETA starting back in the late 80's

@programmer4561 you can eat fruits, it will be more ethinic and you won't kill a inocent animal, because them we cant pick a seed and put in the floor, but with a fruit we can use the seeds and plant more trhees
I'm a veggie too:) I like his perspective on being a vegetarian, I wish everyone thought like such.

everyone thats a vegetarian here should go vegan.Because you still get to harm animals being vegetarian.Milk and all animal products are really unhealthy for humans and not meanted for us,but for animal children.When cows get exhausted and cant produce more milk they go to slaughterhouse.its all connected,every consuming of any animal product is like eating meat cos they are closed and abused against their will.there is more cruelty in drinking milk then eating meat.If you saw documentary
