@chroniCnausia The band itself isn't a straight edge band, however Mike Muir has said many times that he doesn't smoke, drink or do drugs. So yes you could consider him straight edge although I don't think he's ever labeled himself as such. Kinda like Henry Rollins he lives a totally sober lifestyle but prefers not to be trendy and announce himself as straight edge. Hope that explains.

What he's trying to say is, if your unsatisfied with life or your situation, do something about it. Instead of sitting around wasting time and bitching about it. Makes perfect sense to me. And also he's saying, don't make compromises, and think for yourself. It's not an angry tirade, that's some good advice.
