[start missing] 1980s UK saw loads of space-related sci-fi ads, mainly thanks to Star Trek and Star Wars. Barclays Bank did some Blade Runner type ones. Stracey has a melt-down, in this version, cos he "just wants some advice."

  • Mmmmm.... that hottie at the end would certainly convince me to switch banks

  • @ukfitlad that is SO bloody true!

  • Sorry I know this is a 3 year old comment lol but Nooo way the advert with the guy is hilarious the way he gets so pissed. The one with the girl is boring.

  • I'm 29 I remember this. My brother and I still laugh today about how pissed he gets off before the machine explodes.

  • 0:51 right MILF

  • Barclays should watch the advert as this is exactly what thet have become.

The have gone from being a good bank with personal service to providing deficient unintelligible service from a call centre in Mumbai.

  • Was too young to see this air (or remember it, anyway). Now I don't know whether it reminds me of Red Dwarf, Doctor Who or Brazil (or some unholy mix).

Funny how Stracey goes from looking like Pertwee's Doctor to Deckard in this.

  • i was in this advert as an extra cant belive its on here shame the breginning is not on here i was in that bit i got to meet ridley scott which was a huge thing for me oh and cassandra from only fools too

  • I remember this. But the one with the girl is better.
