That's what Manhattan fashion designer Ruby Chan discovered when she got her pug Mao nine years ago. He was an exceptional puppy...and needed exceptionally cool collars and leashes.
Everything out there was either too ordinary or just not fashionable for this young urban pup. Luckily, Ruby was trained at FIT in design so she could do something about the situation. Taking the Bauhaus design movement as her inspiration, she started BOWHAUSNYC.
Her goal was to create luxury dog accessories with great, modern design, highest-quality materials and the best workmanship, that were both beautiful and functional. Furthermore, she wanted to make these fabulously designed collections not just for her dog but for all dogs. From goth details or fabulous rhinestones to hot-off-the-runway metallics BOWHAUSNYC has got something for every stylish dog.
Paying tribute to the architectural element of the company's namesake, the signature "dog-HAUS" transforms a standard metal crate into a comfortable retreat for your pup and a stylish addition to your home decor. Using graphic prints and distinctive detailing, these crate covers serve as custom draperies for your pet's crate and have two contrasting panels which can be rolled open with Velcro loops for easy access or rolled for nap time. These covers are complimented with a matching bed cover and pillow that fits perfectly inside.

I love the crate cover. It would be great in a drafty home. I dont have a dog crate for my dog, but if I ever do I'll be looking for one of the crate covers.

I'd get it, but my dogs kennel is much smaller (she is a yorkeshire terrier).
