  • well then you have a hybrid bass, its both a P and J, i believe you would have a switch or just a tone knob to switch between the 2 or to mix them if there is a tone knob for it

    Obviously, it doesn't HAVE to be one or the other.

    Continuing my spamming of Fender:

    Just quoting from the video description.

    He does have signature jazz 5 string though.

  • notice the pickup separation, this makes it a J bass, a P bass has 2 pickups together but those are not together, some basses have a j bass pickup and p bass pickups on at same time

  • it's under the artist category

  • its his own. its neither. look on the fender website and its under some category, i cant remember. It isnt under j or p though.
