Bassist Roscoe Beck takes a breathtaking solo on his Fender signature model through an FBA rig onstage at Fender's November 2007 Bass Bash IV in Burbank, Calif. With Greg Koch (guitar) and Tom Brechtlein (drums).
well then you have a hybrid bass, its both a P and J, i believe you would have a switch or just a tone knob to switch between the 2 or to mix them if there is a tone knob for it
notice the pickup separation, this makes it a J bass, a P bass has 2 pickups together but those are not together, some basses have a j bass pickup and p bass pickups on at same time
wow! invisible string!

Okay, so is my Stu Hamm Urge II a P or a J?
Obviously, it doesn't HAVE to be one or the other.
Continuing my spamming of Fender:
WHY WAS THE ROSCOE BECK FIVE STRING DISCONTINUED?
